VALUES THAT GUIDE ME

"The ultimate objective in learning about anything is to create a more just society."

-Yuri Kochiyama

Our yoga and meditation classes happen in the context of our lived realties, where injustices are pervasive on a multitude of levels. On our mats, or whatever you use at home, we can connect to our breath to discover the ways we can create more healing justice first for ourselves and then for the world.

JUSTICE

"Life is a school where you learn how to remember what your soul already knows."

-Anonymous

Self-discovery demands our

courage to love and accept all parts of us - including the parts of ourselves we turn away from. I embed trauma-informed techniques into my welcoming and affirming facilitation and teaching practice to create a class environment where you are safe to be you, just as you are.

SELF-
DISCOVERY
COLLECTIVE HEALING

"Being a healer is about providing people with the tools they need to heal themselves."

-Violeta Donawa

It has taken me 30 years to step into and accept my gifts as a healer. Through my own personal journey and with support from loved ones, therapists, and guides, I seek to inspire our collective healing by recognizing and tending to our generational and current traumas caused by systemic oppression.

ABOUT ME

At my core, I am a teacher, healer, organizer, and dancer. I get so much joy out of bringing people together around a shared purpose. I love designing customized learning experiences that are culturally responsive to my students and that invite us to cultivate our relationships to ourselves and to the collective. By connecting to our breath in a safe, inclusive, trauma-informed wellness space, I believe we can transform ourselves and the world we live in.

I am a 500-hr registered yoga teacher through the  Yoga Alliance. You can read more about my journey to today on my Blog.
